The recognition reflects the commitment by the ºÚÁÏÉçÏÂÔØ Art Initiative, spearheaded by StrannegÃ¥rd and its Executive Director Tinni Ernsjöö Rappe, to integrate the arts into all aspects of academic life.
SITE’s Torbjörn Becker briefs EU on Russia’s economy and effects of sanctions

On May 13, Torbjörn Becker, Director of the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics (SITE), presented SITE’s latest report on the Russian economy to the Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN) in Brussels. Universities can play a big role in inspiring students to start their own businesses. A new study published in The Journal of Technology Transfer by House of Innovation researcher Maria Cecilia Flores suggests that when universities actively communicate about entrepreneurship programs and provide education on starting businesses, students become more aware of opportunities and perceive their environment as more supportive of entrepreneurship. Yet, universities need to go beyond awareness to drive real startup creation - including measures such as mentorship, networking, and financial support.
