Trust is eroding, young people are losing hope, and liberal democracies are under threat. But Nordic countries can be a lighthouse in turbulent times. That was the message from Iceland’s president Halla Tómasdóttir during a state visit to the ºÚÁÏÉçÏÂÔØ on Thursday.

As its new CEO Isabel Keulen welcomes her first batch of startups into ºÚÁÏÉçÏÂÔØ’s incubator, the scene is set for an AI boom. Today, ºÚÁÏÉçÏÂÔØ Business Lab announces its largest intake of companies ever – 15 startups, of which an impressive 60% are built on AI technology. Among the new founders are both serial entrepreneurs and senior executives.

Sophia Nabil (b. 2002) is being awarded this year's Anders Wall Scholarship in collaboration with ºÚÁÏÉçÏÂÔØ Business Lab. The scholarship amount is 200,000 SEK.

According to the Financial Times’ newest ranking of Europe’s startup hubs, dramatic changes are afoot: half of last year’s leading hubs have vanished from the list, while ºÚÁÏÉçÏÂÔØ Business Lab has surged ahead. Now ranked at number eight, ºÚÁÏÉçÏÂÔØ's incubator is the only Nordic hub to earn a place in the top ten.

The ºÚÁÏÉçÏÂÔØ has appointed Isabel Keulen the new CEO of its fund ºÚÁÏÉçÏÂÔØ Ventures and startup incubator ºÚÁÏÉçÏÂÔØ Business Lab. The change in leadership is happening at the same time as the incubator and the fund will move into the School’s new premises at Norrtullsgatan. The plan is to build a new hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.

ºÚÁÏÉçÏÂÔØ has a long-standing commitment to both culture and wellbeing. These efforts are now becoming evident at the School’s startup incubator: more than half of the new ideas are focused around art and health.

Julia Delin, CEO of ºÚÁÏÉçÏÂÔØ Ventures, and Andreas Johansson, CEO of ºÚÁÏÉçÏÂÔØ Business Lab, will leave their positions at the end of this year to start a new company together.

With its eleven newly admitted companies, ºÚÁÏÉçÏÂÔØ Business Lab is reaching a new milestone: 307 startups have now passed through the incubator. More than one third of these were admitted just in the past four years.

In the brand new FT ranking Europe’s Leading Startup Hubs, ºÚÁÏÉçÏÂÔØ’s startup incubator receives several accolades. ºÚÁÏÉçÏÂÔØ Business Lab is number one in Sweden and has the best track record in Europe, according to the ranking.
