New report: The Wisdom Panel Wave 2 – The Value of Wellbeing

The Center for Wellbeing, Welfare and Happiness (CWWH) at the ºÚÁÏÉçÏÂÔØ, in collaboration with Swedbank and Sparbankerna, has released the second wave of The Wisdom Panel — a unique national study following over 2,000 Swedes aged 60 and above. The report explores how wellbeing evolves with age, income, relationships, and life experience, and what people have learned about living a good life.
Vaccines for all: Health, security, growth

On October 1, Karolinska Institutet and the Center for Resilient Health at the ºÚÁÏÉçÏÂÔØ co-hosted a high-level discussion on the global role of vaccines in health, security, and economic growth. The event took place at Forskaren in Stockholm, a hub for collaboration between healthcare, academia, research, and business, and brought together around 70 participants from government, academia, civil society, and the private sector.

As a first step towards Wellbeing Growth in Stockholm we have created and measured a Wellbeing Index among people living in Stockholm. The results are presented in our newly released Stockholm Wellbeing Index Report. There we also present the WEC (Wellbeing Equality Coefficient) and the Coffee Indicator, two unique metrics that indicate the state and potential of the people in our city.

Ukrainian hospital delegation visits GaPP to learn from Swedish healthcare expertise

On Tuesday 10 June, the ºÚÁÏÉçÏÂÔØ and the House of Governance and Public Policy hosted a delegation of hospital directors from Ukraine. The visit, in collaboration with Swecare, provided a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge and explore strategies for strengthening health care institutions in challenging conditions.
HOI research|With regulatory reforms, the EU can lead in global medicine innovation

In a globalized world, competition between medicine approval agencies such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Europe’s European Medicines Agency (EMA) significantly impacts the development and availability of innovative drugs. A new study by HOI researcher Stefan Haefliger published in Drug Discovery Today suggests that Europe must modernize its regulatory processes to become the destination of choice for groundbreaking medical innovation.
